Custom Portrait & Family Photo Paintings

Some moments deserve more than a photograph. I’m Delayna Robbins, a Raleigh-based Afro-Surrealist painter, and I create custom paintings that turn the people and memories you love into vibrant, dreamlike art you can pass down.

  • A portrait of someone you love. A parent, child, partner, grandparent, or yourself, painted in bold color with symbolism chosen around your story.

  • A family photo reimagined. Send me an old or recent photo, and I’ll recreate the moment through an Afro-Surrealist lens, the same approach as my series A Colorful Family ARTchives.

  • A memorial or legacy piece. Artwork that honors someone’s life and keeps their story close.

Sizes and starting prices

Prices below are starting prices for a single-subject painting on canvas. Additional subjects, complex backgrounds, and collage details may add to the cost, and I’ll confirm your price before we begin.

  • 12 x 12 inches: starting at $500

  • 16 x 20 inches: starting at $1,000

  • 18 x 24 inches: starting at $1,500

Need a larger size or more than one person? Ask me for a custom quote. Shipping is calculated when your painting is finished.

Payment Plans

I also accept payment plans where I require a 30% deposit to reserve a spot on my commissions waitlist, and then I will make a concept sketch for you upon receiving the deposit. We can collaborate on the concept sketch because I want to make sure you are 100% satisfied before I start painting.

You can pay whatever you're comfortable with each month, and I will start painting upon receiving the final payment.
